This precious snowy scene is jam packed with eye spy style images, that layer over a hand drawn winter backdrop. Each image has been stamped, die cut, and colored with copic markers to really give each image that extra special pop of color and dimension. The fronts of each drawer feature die cut white glitter ornate snowflakes, & tiny silver numbers 1-24. Each either features soft pastel or soft aqua acrylic paint to really make it stand out. The base has been coated in 2 thin layers of antique white acrylic stain so that the wood grain still shows thru for a truly unique vintage Christmas look and feel. The entire thing has been coated in 2-3 layers of gloss mod podge to seal in the tiny elements and protect details from tiny fingers for many years of use.
I wanted to create an heirloom style advent calendar that could withstand the grabbing of tiny fingers and also look nice without being covered in chemicals that are harmful to you & the environment. This calendar achieved just that!! It is a holiday tradition that kids and adults will both enjoy discovering over and over again each year.
